Sweet Woodruff
Sweet Woodruff is a delicate, deciduous (drops its leaves in winter) groundcover that forms mats of foliage. Although this plant is deciduous, the bright green foliage persists late into the fall. The small white flowers are borne 8-10″ high and grow above the foliage, blooming in May and June and blanket the foliage for several weeks. This plant should be sited in medium to deep shade. It will grow in almost any soil, but grows best in moist, well drained soil. It combines well with English Ivy for a mixed groundcover bed, as well as with spring flowering bulbs
