Estate Maintenance Program Overview

We recommend the 8 step Program to our clients who require a consistent andprofessionally groomed appearance for their landscape investment.We recommend the 5-Step program for those who more actively manage their landscape, but are looking for a contractor to take care of the heavy lifting

March-April

A thorough spring cleanup of your landscape. A slow release fertilizer and pre-emergent weed control will be applied to all beds. Beds will be spade edged as needed. Cutting back of all grasses and other winter interest plantings for the new season will be performed.

May

All plant beds will be cleaned and weeded. All spring flowering plant material such as lilacs will be pruned at the proper time. We highly recommend an application of mulch to hold in moisture and regulate temperatures.
Mulch also adds a finishing touch to your landscape.

June

All plant beds will be cleaned and weeded. Mulch will be cultivated and edges of beds refreshed. At this time evergreens and deciduous shrubs will be pruned. Spring perennials will be dead-headed.

July

In addition to ongoing bed care and spade edging, all early summer perennials will be dead-headed as needed.

August

Landscape beds will be weeded and cultivated. Perennials will be dead-headed and bed edges will be maintained.

September

All evergreens and deciduous shrubs will be pruned* for the second time. Perennials will be dead-headed and landscape beds and edges will be maintained.

October

The first of two fall cleanups will be scheduled. This will also include the cutting back of all perennials for the winter and the removal of dead annuals.

November-December

Final Fall Cleanup and Dormant Pruning

A thorough and final fall cleanup will be performed on your property to remove all leaves and other landscape debris. Any deciduous shrubs in need of substantial dormant pruning will be addressed at this time. G&P will leave and not prune certain grasses and winter interest plants for their effect unless otherwise authorized by client.
