‘Hummingbird’ is a compact form that has many great qualities, the most obvious being its flower. Clethra flowers in summer, producing fragrant white blooms for up to 4 weeks. Clethra is easy to grow and tolerant of difficult conditions such as wet areas or deep shade, though it will also tolerate sun. This shrub has attractive deep green foliage in summer and a clean winter habit, and is altogether worthwhile.
