Butterfly Weed is native to the dry prairie it likes full sun and dry, infertile soils. The Striking orange flowers appear throughout the summer and attract butterflies and hummingbirds. It can be slow to establish and late to emerge in the spring but do not be discouraged it is worth the wait.
