This old-fashioned plant would be a delightful addition to any woodland, wildflower, or cottage garden. The flower is a pendulous heart that hangs on arching stems and the foliage is peony-like. This plant is happiest in a well drained soil and in shady areas of the landscape. It typically blooms from May thru July for about 10 weeks or longer.
