Fern- Japanese Painted
Ferns come in many shapes, colors, and sizes, from 12″ up to 6′ tall. Their main attraction is the fine texture that blends well with so many other plants in the landscape. Though ferns don’t bloom, the lacy look certainly adds interest in the shady or woodland landscape, or at the water’s edge.
Japanese painted ferns have unique silvery fronds with maroon stalks and veining. The fronds are also coarsely divided creating texture in the planting bed. This plant is wonderful selection for the partial to full shade bed.
