Columbine, Violet
The best season for Columbine is late spring, typically from May to June for about 4-6 weeks when it’s usually in flower. Columbine is a native plant and comes in many flower colors and has a bloom that nods slightly. They tend to do best in shady areas and are great in wildflower gardens, woodland edges, cottage gardens, naturalistic landscapes, and hummingbird gardens. Columbine is susceptible to leafminers but they do self-sow in the garden for years of blooming pleasure.
